		<description>Peak oil was most likely 2005, which would put us on the plateau right about now. At current rates of world oil consumption and projected rates of consumption due to booming, oil hungry economies in china and India, we have set the scene in 2008 for a future world war between eastern and western nations over oil in the middle east. China won’t lie down and curb it’s 10% growth rate so that Americans can drive SUV’s running on cheap oil and continue to eat their 3000 mile Caesar salads. There’s going to be big trouble at some point in the next 3 years. Not surprising really, oil wars have been raging over the last 100 years and will continue to do so into our future. Our politicians (with the exception of the Greens and some Democrats) have no idea about the world, all they are capable of doing is upgrading our roads and kissing our babies.
